YES! An overly simple description of the science behind the Formula for Miracles® is to say that it is a technique of applied quantum mechanics engineering. Despite how mystical and miraculous it may sound, the Formula for Miracles® alternative healing methods are grounded in hard science - namely quantum physics and cutting edge consciousness research. Brent Phillips is an MIT trained scientist and engineer who has applied scientific scrutiny to his energy healing study and practice and found not only that his work produces measurable results, but also that the mechanism by which it works is now being uncovered by physicists.

What is the difference between Theta Healing and the Formula for Miracles®?
Brent started his journey to decoding The Formula for Miracles® by learning and practicing the Theta Healing technique, as taught by Vianna Stibal. It's a wonderful system, and Brent encourages everyone to take the Basics of Theta Healing seminar, which he still teaches several times a year in Los Angeles. Brent is a certified Master of Theta Healing, and his book Where Science Meets Spirit: The Formula for Miracles® was designated by Vianna Stibal as the very first third party book certified as official Theta Healing material.
During his years of full-time practice including teaching dozens of live training clases, leading hundreds of group healing tele-seminars, and giving many thousands of one-on-one private healing sessions, Brent has studied and learned many amazing techniques and modalities from many incredible teachers from around the world to develop the Formula for Miracles®. Brent has spent years refinining and distilling the "best of the best" from his own experience and all the variouis techniques and processes he has learned (including but not limited to Vianna Stibal's Theta Healing) and synthesized it into The Formula for Miracles®.
How long are private sessions?
Sessions range from 30-60 minutes, depending on your needs and budget. Short sessions (30 minutes) are generally appropriate for anyone who is already familiar with energy healing and already knows how to do self muscle testing. If you are relatively new to energy healing and/or haven't done self muscle testing before, it is recommended that you do a 60 minute session for your first appointment, so that you and Brent will have enough time to discuss your background, explain the process, answer questions, and teach you how to do self muscle testing.
Do I have to do Muscle Testing?
Don't worry if you've tried muscle testing before and had trouble with it - Brent has developed an extensive set of tips, tricks, tools, and precision alignments to make muscle testing easy for everyone.
If you are physically capable of doing your own muscle testing, Brent prefers you at least try to muscle test yourself. If you are not physically capable of muscle testing yourself, or if you are having difficulty getting clear results, Brent will help you and/or do the muscle test for you until you can do it yourself.
If you are working with an animal, an infant, or someone who is so sick that they can not speak or do an interactive session, he can work through a surrogate. For example, if you are doing healing on your cat, Brent will use you as a surrogate for your cat during the healing session.
I used to have condition X, but after a few sessions with Brent, I feel great. Should I keep going for more?
If you are like the vast majority of people who have tried some form of energy healing, you probably have some physical or emotional condition that causes you pain, stress, and/or disability, and all the conventional and alternative healing methods you have tried have left you unsatisfied. Initially, probably the only thing you care about in your private sessions is dealing with your condition (this was true of Brent as well when he first started!) But, after you have some experience with the Formula for Miracles® holistic therapy, it will open your eyes to the amazing potential it has to improve every aspect of your life - career, relationships, health, finances, emotional makeup, and - last but not least - helping you find the meaning and purpose in your life.
As the client, you decide what your goals are for your healing sessions. If your goal is simply to recover from some condition, you may not feel the need to do any more work, and that's fine. But most people realize the tremendous benefits the Formula for Miracles® can bring us, and see recovery from their symptoms as just the first step on the road to a better life.
How often should I do Formula for Miracles® sessions?
There is no "right" answer - it really depends on what your goals are and how much of your time, energy, and other resources you are willing to commit to achieve those goals. It's common for people to do weekly sessions at first until they've addressed all the major issues that brought them to seek healing. Some people like to use private sessions to help prepare for big life events; some just use this holistic therapy when they get sick or injured; others prefer to do monthly sessions to "keep on top of things" and address all the things that have come up in their lives. And still others, like Brent, are so fascinated with the magic of energy healing that they do private sessions every week or two and attend every Formula for Miracles® seminar, practice group, and event possible! :)

Is it better to do sessions in person or over the phone?
Formula for Miracles® works equally well in person or over the phone - distance is not a factor. In general, Brent prefers phone sessions because it is more convenient, cheaper, and easier on everyone involved to work over the phone, as there is no need to spend time travelling or fighting traffic, you can relax comfortably at home. Further, Brent has found that the remote sessions can allow him to get into a deeper theta state that helps facilitate more powerful healings.
What should I do to prepare for a Formula for Miracles® session?
The most important thing to do is to determine what your goal is for the session. For example, you might want to get along with your boss better, or you might be sick with the flu and just want to feel better. Ask yourself: "if I could change anything in my life, what would it be?".
Physically, you want to be comfortable and relaxed, and (if you are doing a session over the phone or Skype) be sure to pick a quiet place where you will not be disturbed during your session. If you drink water before and during the session it will help you to stay hydrated so your muscle test results will be clearer.
What exactly is Brent doing when he goes silent and is changing codes in my subconscious?
The simplest description is that this is a process of focused prayer and meditation to achieve a particular result. For example, during a session it may be discovered that the client holds the belief "Money is the root of all evil" (we know this because the client muscle tests strong when he says "Money is the root of all evil"). Brent may ask the client, "Do you want to change this belief?", and if the client agrees to change it, he enters a waking theta brainwave meditative state and uses the Formula for Miracles® Technique to pray to a higher power to make the change. While a new practitioner might require a few minutes to do this, Brent has done this hundreds of thousands of times and developed many optimizations and short-cuts, so he can do subconscious reprogramming on hundreds of people simultaneously faster than you can blink your eyes! (In fact, part of the Formula for Miracles® training program will teach you many of these shortcuts and optimizations so you can learn to achieve similar speeds.)
After the change is completed, Brent usually asks his client to muscle test the program again to ensure that the belief has changed in the body (subconscious) and is now totally gone.
What can I do if I don't feel well after doing healing, or get a "healing crisis?
Anyone that has worked with powerful energy healing or alternative medicine is familiar with what is called a "healing crisis", which is what happens when you do a deep and powerful emotional or physical healing or cleansing and your body "dumps toxins" and has to flush them out of your system. If this happens too quickly, you may feel a bit off for a few days, as if you had a mild flu - the most common symptoms of a healing crisis are being tired, wanting naps or extra sleep, a mild headeache and/or mild nausea, and difficulty focusing or concentrating. Most commonly it is caused by working with homeopathic remedies, doing cleanses, deep tissue body work, and energy healing. It is rare that a healing crisis lasts for than 2-3 days, so if you aren't feeling better quickly, there is probably something else going on.
If you are experiencing a healing crisis, the most important thing you can do is stay hydrated to facilitate your body's detoxification process. Many people also report getting some relief from soaking in warm water with epsom salts. If you're up for it, mild to moderate exercise can help, as can anything that makes you sweat a lot (including exercise, doing hot yoga, or a steam room/sauna/hot tub.) You might also talk to your pharmacist or doctor about taking activated charcoal, which can also help speed the detoxification process. However, activated charcoal is powerful stuff and you want to be sure that this won't interfere with any any supplements or medications your are taking, so consult with your pharmacist and/or doctor first.
Is the Formula for Miracles® associated with any Church or religious organization?
No. the Formula for Miracles® is a spiritual practice that is not affiliated with any Church or other form of religious organization. People from all manners of faiths and backgrounds - including atheists and agnostics - are welcome to share the amazing benefits of the Formula for Miracles® and experience the alternative healing power of this method. Scientology uses the term "thetan", but this is a coincidence of vocabulary and there is no connection between energy healing with theta brainwaves and Scientology.
Do I have to believe in God for the Formula for Miracles® to work?
You are not required to believe in any particular dogma or view of God or religion in order to benefit from the Formula for Miracles®. All that is required is that you accept responsibility for your life, and are open to the concept that there is some form of higher power in the Universe, even if we can't explain or describe it. For some people the higher power is God, for others it is the Universe or Truth. You are welcome to use whatever terminology you are most comfortable with - "God", "The Creator", "Source", "Goddess", "The Universe", "The Divine", and "Life" are common terms the Formula for Miracles® practitioners use interchangably.
Why does this sound a lot like the various 12 step programs?
The Formula for Miracles® is a spiritual practice for healing and self improvement, as are the various 12 Step programs. If you study the 12 Steps closely, you will find that The Formula for Miracles® can be seen as a way of working the 12 Steps in a faster, deeper, and more powerful way than is done in most traditional 12 step programs. And while the Formula for Miracles® and 12 Step programs can work together and be great complements to each other, the Formula for Miracles® is not a 12 step program, and you will not be expected to find a sponsor or make amends to those you've hurt or anything like that.
Can the Formula for Miracles® be used over the Internet?
Yes! Brent does many private sessions with clients via Skype. Generally he prefers to leave the video off, as Brent spends most of his time in private sessions with his eyes closed to achieve a deeper theta brainwave.
While it is possible to do a Formula for Miracles® session through the Internet using some form of online chat, it is recommended do sessions via voice over the phone or Skype audio, because most people can talk much faster than they can type. Also, as a primarly auditory intuitive, Brent picks up many subtle clues in the client's voice. However, for those who do not have access to affordable, reliable phone service, it is possible to do a private session through online chat.
How can I learn more about muscle testing?
You can search for "muscle testing " in any Internet search engine and turn up hundreds of sites with more information about muscle testing. However, be aware that there are many well-intentioned but poorly trained energy healing practitioners who trumpet muscle testing as a way to tap into "universal truth", or as the ultimate diagnostic tool to determine what supplements or herbs or foods are good for a person. From Brent's perspective, muscle testing reflects what a person's body-held, or subconscious, beliefs are - which may or not be the same as truth.
I have taken the Basics of Theta Healing seminar - now what can I do to become a better practitioner?
There are several things that we can do to improve ourselves as energy healing practitioners. First, practice on yourself everyday. It's OK if it is only a little bit - the important part is that you are practicing every day! Even if you do nothing else, take a few minutes to clear your space and bless your food.
Next, schedule private sessions with experienced professional practitioners like Brent. Before the session, mention to Brent that you practice energy healing and that you would like him to take time to explain the details of what he is doing during the sessions. By seeingg how a professional works, you can learn a lot and mprove your own healing skills at the same time that you get healed!
